DOR has been my dream role so far- Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia was recently in news for declining a film offer. Reason? The lady is averse to kissing onscreen. Nonetheless she is pleased as a punch. Life post DOR is rocking and she is upbeat about her forthcoming films- KYA LOVE STORY HAI, DE TAALI and SALAAM-E-ISHQ. When quizzed about accepting a negative role at this stage in her career she intones, "It all depends on how interesting or challenging the character is. Personally I feel it's better to do one good, meaningful film than six glamourous films. I guess DOR has been my dream role so far. I want to do roles that have substance and those that help me grow as an actor."
What's her take on astrology? "I don't believe in astrology. I don't think one stone or one number here and there can change your life. I've never visited an astrologer," she says.
Ask her about awards and she gets candid, "I'd be lying if I say that they don't mean anything to me. Who doesn't enjoy those 5 minutes of glory! Moreover who doesn't like being up there though its not like it's the most important thing in the world," she concludes.

Ayesha Takia's deglam role in 'Dor' has been tremendously appreciated

Nagesh Kukunoor's film 'Dor' has received good reviews and Ayesha Takia's deglam role has been tremendously appreciated. However according to sources this role had first been offered to none other than Kareena Kapoor, unfortunately though the actress turned down the role which then went to Ayesha Takia. Now we hear even noted director Karan Johar has taken note of Ayesha's splendid performance in Dor. Well this may be the key to welcoming Ayesha into the select fold of the 'Dharma Productions'.
